Dubai Trip - December 2007

December 2007 is a month of holidays here. National day coupled with the eid holidays resulted in a 10 day off at a strectch for some lucky buggers. I wasnt one of those. Yet i managed to get four days in Dubai away from work. Here are the highlights !!!

Bassam's 3rd birthday party

Bassam celebrated his birthday with his school buddies a day before the actual date. Here he is with Teacher Maggy. Next day, we three his party at toys R us. Here he cut the cake with Mahrukh..

We threw bassam's birthday party at toys r us. I made birthday cards and got them color print in office, but manage to deliver only 20% of these.... ......... aaah work life balance..

I think we look like a happy family!! At least Bassam seems to e living up to his name....... the smiling face....

Mahrukh's Birthday !!

It was a surprise for her........ I invited Asad, Salman Q, Sami, Razi, Sarfraz N and Farhan ul with their families at the pool side.

All the pre-party arrangements were done at Fahad's place. They all gathered at pool and I called Mahrukh down at pool side to see Bassam playing with water - it was a complete surprise for her when she came down at pool in her " Gharaaylu" outfit to see all these people. Well, she changed later.

All the kids were in the pool and had fun.

It was a good eve - made possible with the help of all the above friends and specfically Fahad !!!

Besides lot of other things, Bassam is learning to use my digital camera... this is our first picture taken by him. I am not sure if he deliberately cut our faces or otherwise.

New Year and My Birthday

My wedding anniversary, Eid, New Year and my birthday - all celebrated away from family. But thanks God, I had good company - enough to keep me busy the new year eve that was live till late night.

Ali Shafqaat invited us (myself and Fahad) at his place last evening. Went for bowling from there, bought a piece of cake and some candles and cut my birthday cake at Amir's place with Ahmed, Noor and Mariana.

Mahru called at 12 (local time) wish me the day. Later, I called Asad in UK just to see if he is doing good. Zyra's text was the first one to wish my birthday.

Dined very late - i think around 2 and then slept.

The 2007 morning was no different - there was nothing at my place to eat, had three missed calls and a couple of text messages. I stayed in bed for quite sometime, kept doing Eid texts to friends in Pakistan. Sarfraz had called - to my dismay i realised that i had no credits to call him back - ahhh...... I think I should make a new year resolution to keep my credits always topped up !!

Its 1:34 pm. I just got a call to wish me a happy birthday from Khurram Nafees (old timer Ford, Rhodes friend). He is in Pakistan for Eid. Hell !! everyone seemed to be at the right place except few loosers who are just updating the blogs in their deserted houses!!!

New year resolution - I need to work hard, learn business, spend quality time with my family, perform Umrah and save some money !!

I am starving now - gotta do something about food.
