Its 30th January, 2006.
I am in my room, trying to figure out why the hell no one is online this morning. Oh!! its Eid. Last night I slept around 2 after playing beating Fahad few games on PlayStation 2. Earlier that night, we were out on roads for nearly 3 hours in serach of PlayStation and good desi food - luckily we got both !!
Eid namaz was planned to be offered in the Grand Masjid, but Fahad woke up late and we (I and Salman Qureshi), who were supposed to be going in Fahad's car, ended up praying in our local masjid.
I just got a call from Salman, an invitation for Eid breakfast at his place. I will be going there (we live i the same building) in 40 minutes. Fotty minutes !!!
It is probably my first Eid with no one around from my family. Last time I was in Hajj - its been a year. This time, my sister, Nahid is there. InshaAllah, next time I will be there with my family and my Bhai's.
Am I missing my family? Yes. Papa and Bassam (my son) the most.
My wife is calling - so am buzzing off !!
I am back from Salman's - and man ...... I had full desi food. Thanks to Salman and family for making this day atleast look like an Eid day.
